Fantastic win for the Division 3 Mens Team – Old Crows on Saturday against the top ranked HBC Mavricks. HBC started the stronger of the two teams by putting a run each of the first four innings. Old Crows were down 4 – 0 going in to the 4th innings. Roosters were playing good defence but were consistently finding the HBC fielders when up at bat.
Roosters dug deep, HBC had a change of pitcher which closely followed by a huge home run by Roosters pitcher Sam Wilburn. That lit a spark under the Roosters bats which resulted in some solid batting and a come back win 9-6 with Roosters taking the win over the top ranked team. MVP performance from Sam Wilburn for pitching 7 tight innings and the homerun that proved to be the turning point of the game
