Roosters Softball Club was born through the hard work of a few dedicated stalwarts of Te Atatu Roosters Rugby league club. Whilst looking for a good summer sport to continue team bonding and skill development an affinity for softball grew. This was finally realised in the summer of 1979 with entry into the Auckland Softball Association.
Since then Roosters Softball club has become an entity in its own right and has forged a formidable record, especially in youth softball. Its past youth members include Henry and Robbie Paul as well as rugby legend, Kees Meeuwes.
Today the Roosters Softball club is mainly a family orientated club, we play our softball as part of the North Harbour Softball Association at Rosedale Park, Here the whole family joins in, playing in their various age groups for most of the day.
Our clubrooms are located jointly with the Massey Rugby and Sports Club Granville Drive, Massey
This is now our Home ground and we train here on a Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evening. The Rugby club have made us feel right at home, we now have our gear stored here, signage on the front.
Our Clubrooms
We hold all our functions, meetings and our end of year prize giving at our club rooms - located at Granville Drive, Massey.
