Roosters Softball Club was born through the hard work of a few dedicated stalwarts of Te Atatu Roosters rugby league club. Whilst looking for a good summer sport to continue team bonding and skill development an affinity for softball grew. This was finally realised in the summer of 1979 with entry into the Auckland Softball Association.

Since then Roosters Softball Club has become an entity in its own right and has forged a formidable record, especially in youth softball. Its past youth members include Henry Paul who represented New Zealand in the Junior World Championships in 1993. Other amazing talented players have included Robbie Paul as well as rugby legend, Kees Meeuwes. You can see more on the success of our players on the Honours page by clicking HERE

For the 1988-1989 Season, Roosters Softball made the move to be a part of the North Harbour Softball Association, having teams in both the Junior and Senior Competition.

Today we pride ourselves in being a family orientated club, we have teams in both North Harbour Softball Association at Rosedale Park (Junior and Divisions Teams) and NFS (Our Premier, Reserves and U19).

We cater to all levels and ages and have fun or competitive teams to suit everyone.
